(applies to ALL classes)

 

 

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER!!

*  FIGHTERS WILL BE EXPELLED

 

DRIVER RULES

1.  Must be 18 years of age to run in the open class. Must be 45 yrs to run seniors class. 

     Must be 16 yrs & parent signature or older for stock, pro stock or FWD Figure 8

     classes. Must be 12 yrs & parent signature for FWD oval class.

2.  Must NOT BE INTOXICATED or deemed incapable by the officials. If so will be

           disqualified for the night.

3.  Protective head gear, long sleeves & long pants are mandatory and must be worn on

     the track, even during hot laps; neck rolls and fire suits are highly recommended.

4.  After having registered, driver has waived all rights to claim in case of injury

     received entering, on the track, or in the pit area.

5.  All cars must be in pit area 1 hour prior to start of race. Any driver showing up late

     will be placed in a heat at official's discretion. Pits open 2.5 hours prior to start of

     race. Race starts at 6:30 except for special events. (Check schedule for race times.)

6.  Must have a place to hook a chain in front AND back of your race car in all

     classes. {tow hooks}

7.  Mandatory enclosure in drivers compartment of all electric, fuel, transmission, &

     coolant lines in rubber hose or steel pipe.

8.  Wire screen mandatory on drivers half of windshield and drivers net mandatory on

     drivers door.  (Cruiser class, see your specific rules on this.)

9.  Racing window net is required on the drivers side door. No wire screen or plastic

     netting will be allowed.

 

 

TRACK RULES: Officials Decisions are Final

1.            All cars must stay on traveled portion of the track. If your car goes off the track, slow down and re-enter the track as close to the place of leaving as possible and do not pass any cars off the track.

2.            Cars are allowed on the track only while racing or hot laps as directed by the officials.

3.            Cars are not allowed to pit during the race. Any car leaving the track before the end of the race, unless yellow light is on, will be disqualified for the remainder of the night. In mains only: Tires can be changed only when a red is displayed; we will go to a quick yellow to get cars off the track to change tires.

4.            No work is allowed to be done on the cars once the race has been started. NO PROFANITY on cars.

5.            All cars must run in a heat race, taking a green flag to be eligible for the main event.

6.            No substitution of drivers or cars will be allowed once car has been inspected.

7.            Must take a lap on the track that night in order to earn attendance points.

8.            Running on a flat is only allowed in a main. Once the tire falls off, you will be given the equipment flag regardless of the position you are in.

9.            If your car is smoking excessively under green, according to officials discretion, you will be equipment flagged.

10.         If a car is assisted by an official vehicle or staff, you will be considered out for that race, unless it's a rollover.

11.         Both bumpers must remain on at all times or you will be equipment flagged. If any portion of the bumper touches the ground, you will be equipment flagged for that race. Bumper covers are no longer consider your ?bumper?.  They may drag on the ground.  If the cover comes off & red has to be displayed, you will go to rear of field for restart.

12.         Ignoring Flags - If you choose to ignore flags, you will lose all points (except attendance) and money for that night.

13.         NO RIDING ON CARS AT ALL TIMES:  For the safety of all, riding on cars will not be tolerated. If you are caught having someone on your car, you will lose pay for that night.

 

RACE RULES : Officials Decisions are Final

1.            Flags: GREEN: Race is under way. RED: Stop, no exceptions. BLACK: Leave the race, rule violation. WHITE: Final lap. YELLOW w/BLACK STRIPE: Equipment failure, leave the race. CHECKERED: Race completed.

2.            In case of an accident before completion of the first lap, race will be restarted with all cars in original position.

3.            If accident occurs after first lap, the race will be judged by spotters.

4.            Cars involved in the accident, if still running and not blacked flagged, will be allowed to rejoin the race at the end of the pack.

5.            NO DELIBERATE DRIVER DOOR CRASHES. IMMEDIATE EXPULSION. IF YOU PUSH A CAR AND IT FLIPS,YOU will be black flagged for the night.

6.            BLACK FLAGS : A. Heat races -If given a black flag, you are done for that heat race. You may advance to a consey, in last position only. NO WARNINGS!! B.Consey/main - If given a black flag, you are done for the night and it will carry over to the next race. You will start in the back of the heat.

7.            Only officials are allowed on the track during and after the races. Drivers, pit people and family coming onto the track will not be allowed at the next event if violated.

8.            Any car found to be in non-compliance in the officials opinion, even after tech inspection and allowed into the pits, will be disqualified. If protested during the races, track officials will recheck the car. Cars that are disqualified will not be allowed to participate in other heats, conseys or mains and will forfeit all points, money and entry fees.

9.            If less than 2 laps remain from the completion of the race and a red flag occurs, we will score based on last completed lap, but will run a green, white and a checkered to finish the race.

10.         Disqualification - if disqualified during an event, you will get attendance points only - no monies will be paid out or other points awarded.

11.         Line Up:  The order of events will be posted on the line up board.  You are responsible to know when your event is and to be there on time.  No one will come and get you.  Be lined up in the staging area one race prior to the white flag on the track.  If you are not there, the line up official has the option to place you at the tail.

 

PIT RULES, PIT PASS MANDATORY

1.            NO INTOXICATING SUBSTANCE OF ANY KIND ALLOWED IN PIT AREA.

2.            ALL PERSONS IN PIT AREA WILL FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS OF THE PIT STAFF, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

3.            Pit area will open 2.5 hours prior to the start time the day of the race.

4.            All cars must be in pit area 1.5 hours prior to start. Any driver showing up late will be placed in a heat at official's discretion.

5.            One tow vehicle & race car allowed in pits - No spectator vehicles.

6.            No racing or ramming around in the pit area.

7.            Once teched in, a car will not be allowed to leave the pit area except to enter/exit the race track during designated races. If this occurs you are disqualified for the night. No points or money will be awarded.

8.            All persons in pit must be 16 years of age or accompanied by an adult and have a pit pass with them at all times.

9.            Persons receiving a pit pass are advised that by doing so they have waived any right to claim injury while in the pit area or track.

10.         All cars must be removed from the pit area within 2 hours after the main event or become property of the DALLAS COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS. Valid entry receipt must accompany cars removed.

11.         NO ENGINE CLAIM

12.         Drivers are responsible for the people in their pits and their families. Penalties will be disqualification for that night as well as the next race. Stay out of other pits & trailers. ABSOLUTELY NO FIGHTING!
